The Wanderers' Psalms are a collection of settings for games that I made that hold a similar ethos and universe. Each planet is usually made with a game in mind. Well, except for Pyheeta. That place is weird.
Four planets have been talked about so far: Heranyt, Pyheeta, Podushtu, and Talteen. Campaigns are arranged in a rough chronological order, per planet.
Heranyt- Burning Wheel and Crescendo
A world that had lost its core flame, Heranyt was restored about 1500 years ago. The following campaigns occurred on Heranyt:
Revenge of the Countess of Fire: The first campaign in this whole.... project? The first encounter with The One in the Deep. Everything started here. It was great.
Sabina's Castle: First part of The Thunder Trilogy. What started as "Dwarven Psych" turned into something far stranger, involving a ruined city, a smokey dragon, and two sisters.
The Undertow: Second part of The Thunder Trilogy. Mikansia, an orphan, is out to find her father, the vile dark elf Krakeru. She's not sure what she'll do when she finds him, but keeping him alive is probably not on the list.
Suihkulahde: Third part of The Thunder Trilogy. Anneli is on her way to The Island when the sun, moon, and stars seem to vanish! Now what?
Impact!: A spin-out from The Undertow. Wolves, roden, orcs, and minotaurs were locked in a deadly four-way war on the continent of Armo... until an asteroid with an evil Keep on it landed right in the middle of the battlefield. Almost everyone died from the impact. The campaign is about the fallout of that horror.
Rakkaus- Burning Wheel
A flurry of star liches landed on the planet, infecting it with a zombie plague; the dead rose, malevolent and very aware. Stars began to fall to earth to resanctify the ground, so that life could resume.
The Last God: (Sword and Board) A one shot as Sasha and Yelena go to end a curse.
The Giggling Dark: (Burning Wheel) What the hell's a Flammeous Lad, and why does that knowledge almost completely wreck Xellous' previously idyllic life of being an enchanter on a farm?
Autarchy: (Burning Wheel) The sequel to The Giggling Dark. Xellous, the Celestial Knight, is finally ready to take on the khen-zai. But the ending events of The Giggling Dark rung a bell far beyond Xellous's frame of reference.
Hallucinations: (Torchbearer) A golden cube rises up outside a small town. Everyone wants to find out why the hum coming out of it is so deadly. But not Zilya and Karel! They want to know what could be in a cube made of gold.
Death is a Patient Master: Orcs have parked themselves outside the Beautiful Caves. The frantic townsfolk of Ilona have sent an intrepid band of ragamuffins to solve the problem.
Viestinta- Shadowdark/Hearts of Wulin
The planet had been locked in a planet-wide civil war between the drahskon (drasssskon) and hserpa, which had ended in a magical cataclysm. A forced integration of the two peoples followed. That was not going well.
And then the khen-zai returned to their former throneworld... to find their former genetic experiments had taken it over. They were not pleased. The war was long and brutal and global, but finally a drahskon, hrserpa, and human managed to kill the head of the khen-zai, Verzhoben. The ensuing globalization and prosperity have left many "sacrifice zones", where the little man has been abandoned to his own devices.
With Six Wings: (Against the Darkmaster) Genji and Thakraw are out to kill Warlord Bai.
The Triplets- Epasointu, Epatoivo, Lahjonta
Three Mercury sized-planets in a co-dependent orbit.
Epasointu- Trophy Gold/Heroes of Cerulea
A garbage dump for the khen-zai and God knows who else, the planet is littered with tombs, lost magic, and supposedly broken tech.
Slither: Kiva and Jelle are abandoned. And starving. They may not make it out of the serpah tomb in front of them, but what else are they going to do?
Epatvoivo- Trophy Dark/Gold
Imagine if the Old Forest had conquered a planet. Formerly an all-city planet, the small remainder Forest fought back, forming a technorganic nightmare after hundreds of years of struggle.
The Samples: (Trophy Dark) The first part of "A Tragedy of Ilkouzh". Aurel, Otilia, and Andrei have come to Ilkouzh to find their fortunes. They find something else in a whispering stag and The Collective.
Lahjonta- Castigant
A hellscape of a planet, with old colossi roaming the surface. It is by killing these Colossi and their denizens that the subterranean towns survive. Mostly.
Enusta- Beam Saber
Orbiting the sun Enusta is a small space station where dwells the single outpost of The Alliance, the human resistance against the khen-zai. Its mech pilots, exiled there from other commands, are supposedly there to keep everything shipshape and secure.
